Child Development is the
first of two Level III courses in Early Childhood Professions that
are designed to prepare students for employment in early childhood
professions. This class includes instruction in family relations,
parenting, pregnancy and birth, child growth and development. This
class also includes child health, nutrition and safety. Planning
and supervision of developmentally appropriate play and learning
activities, and child guidance are a few other topics covered in
this class. Students set up and run a preschool program for two
weeks. This course is Tech Prep articulated with Yavapai College.
